I can say "ctrl + F" is one of my favorite hot key on computer. Not only can we navigating in the word document but also in a browser. Searching some specific content in dozens of pages, I only have to click on "ctrl + F" and navigate to the page related to the keyword. This makes me look up somethings quickly especially when I'm doing a online assignment. For example, when I'm doing the Anthropology's MC questions, I can look up the keyword from the question and soon find the correct answer. Just make use of the "ctrl + F"! Work smartly and be lazy!
I am starting to learn some of the keyboard shortcuts in Windows are, I can see how this one would be useful in school or in long documents as well. I am starting to learn the concept of work smarter not harder.
ReplyDeleteI can say the same 'work smarter not harder'. I have learned so many new shortcuts I didn't think was relevant before for I never needed it then, but now, I am full speed ahead checking out what shortcuts I can learn this time.

What if the author didn't use the exact keyword you are using in the search criteria?
Would you search with various synonyms? Various abbreviations? Various spelling variations?
Luckily, so far keyword's problem seldom happened. If it occurred, it would be a totally different wording, then I can just slowly go through the page to seek for the answer.
Delete"Work smarter, not harder" is my life motto! When I need to locate a chapter on Brytewave, CTRL + F is one of the features that allow me to access it immediately and search for certain keywords. Definitely a life saver! :)

ReplyDeleteI use Ctrl + F on a regular basis. I hate having to find words and such in pdf text books or super long webpages. It is truly a life saver!
ReplyDeleteQuick tip: Not all PDF files still have text information in them. Some may contain just image data, in which case OCR is necessary.
