Don't spend more than 30 mins a day on LabSim

I have never thought that passing MO-100 is an achievement or milestone. Finishing all the practice and passing the exam is a necessity. However, the pathway to it is not easy. Learning how to use tools on Microsoft Word from the tutorial is tedious but important. In order to finish the boring parts as soon as possible, I will skip the opening and ending of the tutorial videos and only watch the useful parts. Also, I have never looked at the text instructions. Then, I will try my best to finish the practices quickly and get away from the LabSim. If I don't want to do the LabSim tasks on a day, I will leave them for another day.

  1. Interesting tactic of 'only watching the useful parts'. How would you determine what is 'useful' or not without watching/reading them?

'Quick' does not equal 'complete' or 'effective' :-)

Why leave to tomorrow when you can finish it today, leaving more time for higher pursuits such as MOS Expert or even MOS Homerun?

    1. My explanation of 'useful parts' is that I can only study it and pass the practice. Passing the LabSim practice equals to passing the MOS exam and I will take it.

You are right, I will try. I am improving my mindset and life style.

  2. In my opinion, if you buy something that needs assembling, you need to read the instruction and not just look at pictures because then you'll realize why are left with 4 more screws.

  3. I can see your point, however sometimes the most important parts are in the beginning or at the end. Please don't use this model for all things in life because you just might miss something useful or important.

    1. You are right, can't use it for all things. I always go through everything if I am interested in it.

  4. I see to be doing LabSim continuously once I get into the zone.

  5. Although "Work Smarter, not Harder" is my life motto, I disagree with it for LabSim. I find the visual video instructions to be extremely helpful and help me actually save time on the long run. :)

  6. The videos provided in preparation for the exams are extremely useful and full of knowledge. If we study and see the videos there should be no reason for us to fail.

  7. Let me challenge you Tsz, how do you get the hardest task done when working in a team? By assigning it to the laziest person. They will always find the fastest way to get it done. Can you apply that to us as individuals? Not really... especially not in this class.

  8. I read the transcript with the video playing at 2x speed, helps me absorb the information both audibly and visually.

  9. If you need to catch up in LabSim because you're going at a slow pace, I don't see why you can't spend 3 or 4 hours on LabSim.
